Following the Roll Back Malaria Partnership (RBM) Change Initiative in 2006 and the quadrennial External Evaluation in 2009, the RBM Board established a Task Force to develop an Accountability Framework to guide the work and responsibilities of all the RBM Partners. TropMed Pharma Consulting was retained as the consultant to the Task Force. Ian Boulton led the effort and authored the Task Force report to the RBM Board at its December 2009 Meeting. The report aimed to establish a framework of guiding principles and a structure to allow RBM Partners to better hold one another and the RBM Partnership mechanisms to account for their commitments and for the results of the Partnership as-a-whole in the fight to control, eliminate, and ultimately to eradicate malaria. It built on the recommendations already made in the Change Initiative and in the 2009 External Evaluation.
